2024 has bloomed 🌸
Hope you had a peaceful holiday and a fantastic start to the new year.
A little update: ammi.ai will now bloom every 2 weeks instead of every week. More details on this update — plus an exciting announcement — will hit your inbox soon!
Here's a picture from our trip to Egypt over the break. There are a lot of amazing things to see in Egypt. But I found this structure particularly stunning.

Bab Al-Futuh, the majestic northern gate of Historic Cairo, completed in 1087.
Now, let's grow.

Apple Sauce
The ‘sauce’ - or overview - on AI tools you may find useful.
Today’s apple: Reclaim.ai
"Atomic Habits," a bestselling productivity book by James Clear, revolves around the core idea that small, consistent changes in habits can lead to huge, positive results over time.
The key word: consistency.
As moms with jam-packed schedules that can be unpredictable, it’s tough to find consistent blocks of time to build habits like exercising or learning a new skill.
Reclaim.ai is a tool that works with your existing Google Calendar to help you prioritize habit-building by automatically finding the best time(s) every week for you to develop your desired habits and routines.
AI to tame your schedule and prioritize habits
Reclaim.ai connects to your existing calendar and task lists. You enter habits you’d like to make time for and how you would like to prioritize them.
Using AI, Reclaim schedules time for you to consistently build these habits and form desired routines amidst your busy hours and appointments.

A template library of habits Reclaim can help you form! Admittedly, I had to create a custom entry for my desired habit: ‘Uninterrupted Naptime 3x/day”.
A basic version of Reclaim is Free Forever. The company does not share or sell user data with third-parties.

AI Every Day: The AI of Whatsapp

AI-generated by DALL·E 3. Prompt: Generate an abstract image inspired by Whatsapp.
This week, I'm excited to embark on a series where we uncover how apps and technologies we use every day leverage AI. Nowadays, we typically see AI in apps in one of 2 ways, which I like to call:
Behind-the-Scenes AI: AI that uses the information we input into the app along with other information to serve us recommendations or ads or estimated arrival times or autocomplete predictions.
In-Your-Face AI: With the rise of generative AI, we see a rise in AI that we directly interact with like chatbots or generators.
Whatsapp? Nothing much, Whatsapp with you?
According to a previous ammi.ai poll, 77% of readers use Whatsapp. You are part of the roughly 😲 2.78 billion active monthly users 😲 of the popular messaging app, which was acquired by Facebook (now Meta) in 2014.
Oh, Whatsapp. You either love it or hate it, but if you’re like me - a mom who calls your own mom on a daily basis to virtually babysit your children - you most certainly cannot live without it.

Whatsapp’s Behind-the-Scenes AI: Autocomplete
Public information on Whatsapp’s use of AI is limited, and makes sense, given its focus on privacy and data security. However, your phone keyboard's autocomplete feature is one example of AI in action while using the app. Here’s a little breakdown of how autocomplete works:
As you type in WhatsApp, your phone's keyboard analyzes the letters.
The keyboard predicts words based on language patterns and your typing history.
Predicted words (and emojis!) appear above the keyboard as you type.
The feature learns and adapts to your typing habits over time.
Whatsapp’s In-Your-Face AI: Meta AI, AI stickers, and Character AIs
Last fall, Meta announced new generative (in-your-face) AI features across their product family to interact with AI for entertainment, information, and socializing.
Meta AI Assistant: Think of this like ChatGPT, but within Whatsapp! And instead of the GPT AI model powering the chatbot, it is powered by Meta’s own AI model, called LLaMa 2.
AI Stickers: You can create custom-generated stickers with text prompts.
AI Characters: A set of 28 AI characters with varying interests, personalities, and expertise for users to interact with. Meta has partnered with celebrities to be the faces of these AIs.
Meta has its own Hype Mama-type AI called Scarlett. She’s moreso a Hype Bestie.
How do you feel about these AI features? Have you tried any of them?

Fruitful Harvest
Fresh AI fruits from the community garden.
Last week’s poll:
Are you ready for the new year?
🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Yes (75%)
🟨⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️⬜️ No (25%)
Even though it's here astoundingly fast, I'm ready for a fresh slate, a fresh start- new beginnings, new resolutions and new adventures- hopefully all good!
Community Garden:
During one of our nights in Cairo, we were served a delicious Egyptian soup, but I didn't catch its name. Upon returning, I couldn’t stop thinking about that soul-warming soup. ChatGPT came to the rescue:

We 💚 hearing from you:
Used Hype Mama once and did not expect to like it SO MUCH. Simple, cute and effective = genius :D
